When I first became interested in miniatures, I had two small children. It's hard to take family money to support a hobby, especially one that can become very expensive. This was one way I found to bring in some "mini" revenue. |

 When I received the ceramic molds from one of the gals in the miniature club I belong to, it included a set of molds for a miniature Nativity. I decided to make an ornament using the figurine molds. After pouring, cleaning, firing the greenware, and glazing, I used china paints to stain the figurines so they would look like ivory.

 My hubby's neurologist gave me the idea of working with Rodney to create a miniature scene centered around something he liked doing. Rodney has always liked to go fishing at our coastal area. So, the idea came for making a bait and tackle shack such as would be found on a small pier in the waterway. |

Okay, I admit I am a sucker for a good sale. Especially when the sale price is some of the miniature buildings I have always wanted. For some unknown reason, A.C.Moore has reduced the price of their miniatures and dollhouses. They REALLY reduced each component of the "Street of Shops" by Houseworks. |

When my cousins come to down from the "left" coast, it's time to break out the grill and have a family reunion/cookout. Many times when we have these, we have games and prizes donated by various family members. A few years ago, I made a music box that contained a miniature scene of a parlor with miniature pictures of our parents and grandparents. My cousins put their names in for a drawing and one cousin took home my miniature scene. The winner was my cousin Gail from Portland OR. |
